The
National Endowment for the Humanities Office of Congressional and White
House Affairs is looking for qualified applicants to the NEH Fall 2012
Internship Program. In the past, our interns have worked on several
large events at the White House, and have assisted on various projects
highlighting the NEH’s programs. Specific tasks may include managing
invitation and RSVP lists, drafting briefing memos, managing our web
presence, conducting outreach to Congressional offices, and
communicating with presenters and VIPs.
We
are looking for interns who possess strong writing and communication
skills, and who have a passion for the humanities. Interns must be able
to complete tasks in a timely manner, and be professional and
detail-oriented. Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and
social media outlets such as Facebook and Twitter is preferred. We are
looking for a commitment of at least 3 full days a week. Please send a
resume, short writing sample, and cover letter to cnoble@neh.gov to apply. Application materials are due by August 24th, 2012.
