Can you hear the difference? Speech Sounds Study

The University of Maryland Center for Advanced Study of Language (CASL) is developing a test of foreign language speech perception ability. We need people to try to hear differences between foreign speech sounds and learn foreign words.

Participants must be:

- Native speakers of English

- Between the ages of 18-26



Participants will:

- Attend one 1 hour session

- Listen to sounds from a variety of foreign languages

- Earn $30 for participation
