DaCadence,
UMD's newest co-ed a cappella group, will be auditioning new members
this fall! Founded in October of 2010, DaCadence has steadily grown into
one of the most active performing groups on campus in only two years,
participating in a variety of events and showcases, both on- and
off-campus, every semester. And this semester is no different. We've got
a lot of fun events lined up for this fall and beyond, and we're
looking for some new, talented, fun-loving, dedicated singers to join us
as we continu
AUDITIONS will be held in the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center (CSPAC) on:
Tuesday, September 4th at 7 pm (room tbd)
AND
Wednesday, September 5th also at 7 pm (room 2170).
You only have to come to one night of auditions, not both.
CALLBACKS: Friday, September 7th at 7 pm (room 2168)
To audition, all you need to do is come prepared to sing a verse and a chorus of a popular song of any genre (EXCEPT show-tunes, please!) that you feel best highlights your voice. And if you can beat-box, come prepared to do a small freestyle sampling as well. We'll let you know the night of your audition whether or not you'll be invited to callbacks.
