Internship position at FDA - scientific writer

The Hematology Lab at the Food and Drug Administration in White Oak, MD, under the direction of Dr. Chava Kimchi-Sarfaty, is seeking a highly motivated student to assist in technical writing for the lab. This opportunity is a paid part-time internship position intended to complement the student’s current study at the University of Maryland. The White Oak campus is roughly a 10-minute drive from the University of Maryland campus. The intern will have the opportunity to assist in technical writing, along with aiding in scientific figures/table construction, and other technical assignments. The intern will develop skills in a professional work environment, while having the unique opportunity to learn a little about the scientific research conducted within the lab.

Applicants must be a currently enrolled junior or senior in the undergraduate program and must be able to devote 10-15 hours weekly. Candidates should be good problem solvers, comfortable using basic Microsoft word and excel applications, and have strong writing and editing skills.
