EDGE OF EIGHTEEN with Al-Jazeera America - Weds. 10/1

What’s it like to come of age in America today? Academy-award winning filmmaker Alex Gibney and Alexandra Pelosi trained 15 diverse youth to document their senior year in high school. The Edge of Eighteen is a series that tackles a range of issues, from being undocumented, joining the military, going to college, to teen pregnancy, religious devotion and coming out as gay. Join the Journalism Center on Children & Families WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1 at 6 pm for a screening and discussion of this new show from Al Jazeera America (AJAM). Two of the youth participants will be at the screening along with Executive Producer Amy Kohn. This is a great opportunity to learn more about AJAM, collaborative storytelling, citizen journalism, filmmaking and get your finger on the pulse of the next generation of adults.
