Spend a semester
experiencing Israel’s rich and diverse mosaic of cultures. Live and learn in the beautiful city of
HAIFA, Israel’s 3rd largest city located on the Mediterranean
Sea. Widely regarded as a model city of
Arab and Jewish coexistence, Haifa is a unique location for this Maryland
program focusing on conflict transformation. Home to the northern port and
Israel’s high-tech park, Haifa is the ideal urban setting for a vibrant
academic center.
The University of Haifa is a large comprehensive research university in
northern Israel. With a diverse student body of over 18,000, it is a microcosm
of Israeli society dedicated to academic excellence, civic engagement and
social responsibility. Located atop the Carmel Mountain, amidst the national
forest and looking towards the sea, the University has been a pioneer of a
“shared Israel”, and its population is truly multicultural.
