Maryland-in-Shanghai Spring 2013

The application deadline for Maryland-in-Shanghai Spring 2013 has been extended to Thursday, November 1. As a refresher, program highlights include:

-          University, state and Federal aid can all be applied to the program fee: $14, 965.00 is charged to students’ Testudo accounts
-          Direct enrollment at the prestigious Fudan University, taking courses from Chinese faculty and alongside Chinese students
-          A diverse range of courses are offered, including political sciences, government, economics and business. Some of these courses have been evaluated for UMD Resident credit
-          Students live in Western-style apartments near campus with a Chinese roommate; housing is included in the total program fee
-          Students enroll in a Chinese language course
-          The program includes an orientation in Beijing and an excursion to the deserts of Inner Mongolia
-          Spend a semester in Shanghai, one of the world’s most dynamic and cosmopolitan cities

This program is ideal for students in multiple majors, and who are interested in China and Asia in general, but may not necessarily have the language skills. To start an application, students go to: http://myea.umd.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram&Program_ID=10059
