Are you looking for community service experience in a leadership position? Apply now to be a Terps for Change Coordinator for Fall 2019! Terps for Change is a service-learning organization committed to connecting groups of like-minded students to local community service sites that tackle a wide variety of social justice issues, from education inequity, to environmental concerns, to socioeconomic disparity. In addition to weekly service, participants engage in weekly dialogues to learn more about their social issue and reflect on the service done at site.
Coordinators are the fearless leaders of each team. They collaborate in pairs to ensure the smooth connection between UMD student volunteers and our community partners, as well as lead the weekly dialogues of their participants. On Monday evenings, this community of student leaders meets with the Terps for Change Staff and engages in their own dialogue. The time commitment for this position is about 6-8 hours a week.
If you are interested in applying for a coordinator position, or have more questions, feel free to email the T4C staff at terpservice@umd.edu. RSVP to one of our information sessions here, and the application is here.
We hope to meet you soon!
