Interested in being a mentor for adolescents with sickle cell disease (SCD)?

We would love to have you join STRIVE DC! We host bimonthly programs to engage participants through mentorship, tutoring, peer support, and medical self-advocacy training. In addition to being an informational resource, STRIVE is a place for youth who have SCD to share their experiences and learn from each other. We host programs at the UMD campus and throughout Washington, DC, and we are currently recruiting new volunteers for the 2019-2020 academic year. We are looking for individuals who will help us realize STRIVE’s mission of providing a community and open space for youth with SCD.
