Self Love Letters, an Interactive Art Exhibit - May 3

When: May 3rd from 1-3 PM
WhereHerman Maril Teaching Gallery in the Art-Sociology Building
What: Want to snag a free hoodie, snacks, and coffee while enjoying art? In honor of Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM), AASU and MICA collaborated to curate a multi-dimensional art exhibit entitled “Self-Love Letters”. As a self-reflective means of healing, participants were asked to write letters to their past selves. The aim was for participants to engage in self-love by witnessing the growth and strides they have made in their life’s journey. We encouraged the participants to be vulnerable, introspective, and forgiving in their reflection of the past. This means of self-awareness was in and of itself a part of the healing process. Be a part of this healing process by attending our opening for this exhibit as well as a workshop on Self Love Letters taking place Wednesday May 1st from 1-3 PM in the Herman Maril Teaching Gallery in the Art-Sociology Building. Snacks and coffee will be provided as well as free hoodies in honor of AAPIHM. RSVP here on Facebook.
