Are you
interested in social innovation and entrepreneurship? The University of
Maryland is hosting the 5th Ashoka U Exchange on February 26-28, 2015 in Washington, DC and we need volunteers for 2/26!
The Exchange is the world’s largest convening for social
entrepreneurship in higher education, bringing together 650 university faculty,
staff and students, and it’s just two weeks away!
Reasons to
volunteer:
·
Meet awesome people. The AshokaU Exchange attracts some of the brightest, most dynamic
people trying to make the world a better place through higher education. On top
of making new friends, some volunteers will assist speakers before and after
sessions, providing great networking opportunities.
·
Attend for free! Volunteer on Thursday, February 26th and attend
Friday or Saturday for free! Tickets cost $475 for students and $850 for
professionals, so this is a huge cost savings.
·
Free t-shirt. Volunteers get an awesome FEARLESS VOLUNTEER t-shirt to remember
the event!
·
Free food and transportation! If you’re
volunteering during a time that overlaps breakfast or lunch, you will be fed!
If you’re coming from UMD, we will provide you with a Metro card.
·
Build credibility. The AshokaU Exchange is the premiere gathering for aspiring
social innovators and entrepreneurs passionate about institutional change in
higher education. Be an integral part of these important events and have
something to brag about to your friends and potential employers.
Know anyone
who would be interested in volunteering on Thursday the 26th in
downtown DC? Have them e-mail Madie Yoder at myoder@terpmail.umd.edu ASAP with their
