Job Description: The College of
Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) at the University of Maryland is
seeking a motivated part-time student web writer/communications assistant to
help generate content for the College’s website, contribute to the College’s
social media presence and support the overall communications goals of the
College throughout the fall 2014 semester and possibly beyond.
Qualifications:

Be
available to work 10 hours per week
·
Write
copy that is crisp and to the point, simplifying sometimes complex ideas and
terminology for a general audience
·
Be
comfortable and experienced interviewing professionals across a wide array of
subject matters
·
Familiar
with various social media sites including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Experience working with and/or creating social media marketing plans a plus.
·
Manage
multiple assignments, prioritize workloads and produce high-quality work within
established deadlines
·
Work
independently
·
Be
responsive and readily available via phone and email
·
Experience
with video and video editing a plus
·
Experience
with content management systems for websites a plus
