Call for Global Classroom Design Team Applicants

What if you… … could build a robot with teammates in Turkey? … were researching water policy with students in Israel? … and your peers in Australia designed a climate change awareness campaign? … could do all of this and more without leaving campus?

Global Classrooms are virtual, project-based courses offered in collaboration with partner universities abroad. You can learn more about them here.  We are putting together a Global Classroom Design Team that will be the driving force in developing these innovative classes.

As a member of the Design Team, you will:

  1. Develop and execute methods of analyzing the effectiveness of these courses
  2. Establish criteria that will be used to select future courses for the Global Classroom program
  3. Propose new classes based on design thinking that will involve interacting with students and faculty to gather ideas and test prototypes
  4. Plan ways of promoting the courses to students and faculty

You must be able to commit five hours per week to the Design Team in addition to attending biweekly meetings.

APPLY HERE for the unique opportunity to be part of an experiment that has the potential to spread to other universities.

Please email Justin Lee (jlee516@terpmail.umd.edu) or Ann Marie Huisentruit (amhuisentruit@gmail.com) with any questions.
