Have an interest or passion in music? Want to have
lunch with a maestro to talk about a career in music and hear about his
journey? Maestro Craig Kier is coming to the University of Maryland to
conduct the Maryland Opera Studio's production
of Benjamin Britten's Albert Herring in November. He'll be in residence for musical coachings next week. While he’s here,
we have a very special opportunity for interested Honors College students to have lunch (for FREE) with Kier next week!
The lunch is scheduled for Friday, September 20th
at 12:00pm at Adele’s, located in the Stamp Student Union. There are
only a handful of spots available for this lunch, and the spots will be
filled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
If you are interested, please send an email to Damien Franze at
dfranze@umd.edu with the subject line “Lunch with Maestro”. In the
body of your email, please provide your full name, UID number, email
address, and Honors College program name.
Interested students may sign-up through 5:00pm on Wednesday,
September 18th. If you are selected for the lunch, Damien will contact
you on September 19th. And again, this lunch is FREE!
