The Future of Information Alliance (FIA) announces its second annual campus-wide seed grant competition. Join us for an information meeting on Sept.
24, 2-4 pm in the Stamp Student Union Colony Ballroom.
The FIA Seed Grant Competition offers an opportunity for faculty to
work with motivated students, engage in transdisciplinary research,
and connect with the 10 FIA Founding Partners.
Four teams of students and
their faculty mentors will win up to $25,000 in grants. "It will...help
our students take part in the search for creative solutions to some of
the most pressing issues of our time," says
University of Maryland President Wallace Loh. The FIA Seed Grant
Competition is made possible with support from the Robert W. Deutsch Foundation.
In a brief video you can see what previous
seed grant winners accomplished.
