Are you interested in environmentalism, and climate change? Have you ever wondered how YOU can make a difference on these issues? If yes, then you should join the UMD Power Shift Team!

Power Shift is an environmental youth conference being held from October 18th to the 21st in Pittsburgh, PA. The conference will bring together 10,000 passionate students from all across the country. The goal of Power Shift is to train these students to become the next generation of environmental leaders across the globe. Students will learn about a wide range of environmental issues from "fracking" to environmental justice to building a green economy. Whatever your interests, there will be something there for you, guaranteed! And not only that, but you’ll be learning about these issues and how to fight them from the top environmental figures in the country, making this a truly unique experience.
A diverse group of students from all over campus is coming together to attend the conference. This group includes students from many different majors, ages, and clubs, all with one common interest: building a sustainable future! (Group transportation and housing will be arranged).

The Honors College is sponsoring their students to attend Power Shift, so you can experience this weekend of influential speakers, hands-on trainings, and abundant networking opportunities, all for FREE!!

If you are interested in attending, please click here and fill out the form!
