We’ll be picking up litter along College Creek behind the Eppley Recreation Center from 1-3 PM.  We'll celebrate our efforts with pizza and climbing from 3-5 PM.  Please wear closed toed shoes and bring work gloves if you have them.  RSVP via Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/110120425850022/

oneShirt Challenge - Saturday, April 13-Sunday, April 21:
CRS will be hosting the oneShirt Challenge April 13-21 on UMD’s campus. The oneShirt Challenge is sponsored by SustainU and Planet Aid and is held in conjunction with Earth Week.  The oneShirt Challenge is a collegiate clothing drive in which hundreds of colleges and universities compete with one another to collect the most clothes (total and per student).  The event is held in conjunction with Earth Week due to its relationship with sustainability and textile recycling.  Last year, the oneShirt Challenge collected over 60,000 pounds of clothing.  SustainU and Planet Aid hope to increase this number this year while encouraging more textile recycling on campus.

You can drop off any clothing or shoes at Planet Aid yellow collection bins located on the sidewalk outside of each of the following CRS facilities: ERC, Armory, Ritchie, and Cole.  For every pound of clothing collected, Planet Aid will donate 5 cents to the CRS Student Employee Scholarship Fund. So do your spring cleaning and donate any clothes or shoes you no longer need.  Join the Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/144879612351556/
