Code for Community
Application presentations
Thursday, April 25, 2013 @7pm
1100 Cambridge Community Center
This THURSDAY, April 25 @7pm will be the
culmination of the Code for Community Challenge. I would like to thank
you for your support. You are cordially invited to attend and to see
the six applications which were submitted. You can view
a demonstration of the apps on the website (www.arch.umd.edu/Planning/cfc).
We began with 12 teams, and we are happy with a final yield rate of six
submissions. Two bailed out fairly early due to time constraints,
while two simply could not meet the deadline date, but are interested
and may present their idea. Finally, we simply lost contact with the
two remaining teams. We have at least one College Park Scholar Team,
and we may have one Honors team (Digital Cultures)
presenting. Many lessons were learned through this exercise, and I
like to think regardless of the final outcomes, students appreciated the
experience. Certainly, your support throughout this event in no small
way contributed to the success of this competition.
Regardless, please note the date (changed from Tuesday) and time.
Hope you can make it. Alex
