"Stop the Silence" is an international organization that
aims to spread awareness about child sexual abuse and its devastating
effects on many children throughout the world. On October 14th, Stop the
Silence is hosting an awareness event in Stamp that includes the
Scottish film "To Kill a Kelpie" and an after-show
discussion. The film highlights alarming issues surrounding child
sexual abuse from a survivor's point of view. The discussion includes
important speakers such as Pamela Pine, the founder of Stop the Silence,
and Matt Sandusky, the son of Jerry Sandusky. Matt
was sexually abused as a child and is now speaking out against this
crime. Tickets cost $5 per person.
