Whether building the skills children need to succeed in the 21st century or simply giving children joy, play is an essential part of childhood. However, in recent decades, play as we know it has been slowly disappearing. KaBOOM! works to bring balanced and active play into the daily lives of all children, particularly those growing up in poverty in America. We do this by creating great places to play, inspiring communities to promote and support play and driving the national discussion about the importance of play in fostering healthy and productive lives. Join M.J. Kurs-Lasky to learn how the national non-profit KaBOOM! works to ensure that children get the balanced and active play they need to thrive.
