We have 4 open Internship positions available for this Summer. The selected Intern must be in good academic standing in their junior or senior
year of college. The Intern must be pursuing a degree in or have
completed coursework towards a program relevant to the field of
internship and relevant to Chesapeake Employers’ business.
The open Internship positions are in the following departments:
· Compliance/Distribution (both departments will share 1 Intern)
o Compliance-
Scan, convert to PDF, rename and move electronic documents to the
appropriate file folders on network drive. Create or modify existing
business letters and form templates. Organize, assemble and sort paper
documents. Advanced skills in Microsoft Word and Excel is required;
basic knowledge of Adobe Pro preferred.
o Distribution-
Open incoming mail and prep for indexing, manual folding and stuffing
of envelopes, pick up sort and deliver interoffice mail, and update WCIS
regarding return mail. Individuals with attention to detail and
organization is preferred.
· Internal Audit
o Review
contract changes, compile information into Microsoft excel, review
department manuals, perform testing in other departments. Accounting
majors preferred.
· Project Office
o Support
system development by other departments, reviewing of system
requirements and system test cases, executing test cases and scenarios,
and assisting with management of IS projects. Undergraduate studies in
management information systems or computer science is preferred along
with experience working with web-based computer systems.
· Med Bill
o Process
and screen provider bills, prepare overpayment documentation, and
distribute reports. General computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft
word, basic math, and accurate data entry are required.
