The Classics Department is sponsoring two different
study abroad programs in Greece this summer, with different emphases:
one is focused on archaeology (with hands-on experience) and the other
is a more general introduction to the culture
of ancient Greece and its relationship to the Greece of today. The
first is based in Corinth and the second in Athens. Both carry 3
upper-level credits and include field trips to many museums and ancient
sites. There are no prerequisites. Please see the
Education Abroad website for details:
<http://tinyurl.com/n5mpxt4> for the more general program ("The Living Legacy") and
<https://myea.umd.edu/index.cfm?FuseAction=Programs.ViewProgram&Program_ID=11005> for the archaeology program ("History and Archaeology of Corinth").
The application deadline--for the programs and for scholarships--is February 15.
