Alpha
Theta Sigma Multicultural Fraternity, Inc.;
Spring
Rush 2014
Look
at your friends. Look to campus. Look back to your friends. Now look back to
campus. Do you feel like your friend group is culturally diverse, but the rest
of campus isn’t as easily intermingled?
If
you answered yes, or if you want to explore other cultures and create bonds
with people of various backgrounds and ethnicities, the brothers of Alpha Theta
Sigma Multicultural Fraternity, Incorporated invite you to our Spring Rush 2014!
We
believe that the unique differences of each individual in our brotherhood make
our fraternity an incredible experience to be a part of and we invite you to
come see for yourselves by meeting us at our various Rush events, from bowling
to music sessions to talking about multiculturalism in the media and everything
in-between. Official Rush Events will be held from February 6th
until February 20th.

About ATS
In 2003, a group of young men came together and decided that they
weren't satisfied with the current state of the Greek community at UMCP. They
looked around and realized that their group of friends was very diverse, but
the Greek community was not; so they decided to make a change. These 9 students
envisioned an organization for people of all races, ethnicities, and backgrounds
where cultures were not ignored, but embraced and used to better the members of
the organization and the surrounding communities. This organization would
foster the creation of deep, life-long bonds of brotherhood among its members
while showing others that different people could work together to perform
meaningful, productive service works for their peers. On May 19th, 2003, that
organization became a reality with the founding of Alpha Theta Sigma
Multicultural Fraternity, Incorporated.
