The University of Maryland chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America will host its first 5K run at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 19. The run is called "Run for your PR Memorial 5K" and is a fundraiser for the Vincent Tran Diversity Scholarship. For those who do not know, UMD PRSSA and the university as a whole lost an outstanding individual this past September, and since then, UMD PRSSA has been trying to honor his life to the best of its abilities. This Memorial 5K will not only highlight the contributions Vincent made on the public relations track at Maryland but also how participants can celebrate diversity within the PR field.
