"Equal Justice for All?" - Nov. 1

Bryan Stevenson, author of the 2016-17 First Year Book, Just Mercy, will be on campus Tuesday, November 1from 4:00-5:30 in the Colony Ballroom. Students, faculty members and staff are invited to attend. The event is free.

Bryan Stevenson is a Harvard Law School graduate and the recipient of the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Nonfiction for Just Mercy and the recipient of a MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Grant.  Founder of the Equal Justice Initiative of Alabama and a clinical professor at the New York University School of Law, he has spent his career serving the underrepresented, the poor and the silenced—a population often forgotten.  The grandchild of former slaves and a product of a poor Delaware neighborhood, Mr. Stevenson has dedicated his life to helping people who may be facing years of incarceration or even the death penalty.
