NPR/Talk of the Nation - Freshman/Common Reads Interview with Brooke Gladstone for Monday 9/17

National Public Radio’s Talk of the Nation is doing a show about first year book programs, highlighting our first year book and the books for two other universities. Brooke Gladstone (author of UMD’s first year book, The Influencing Machine) will be on the show. Students are encouraged to send in questions for the author. the show is live and will be broadcast on Monday, September 17  and the first year book feature will be at 3:40-4:00. The show is not carried on the local NPR station, WAMU but students can hear the broadcast at http://www.npr.org/templates/stations/schedule/index.php?prgId=5.

 

The producer asked if a first year student who has read the book would be willing to talk on the show. It would only be for about 3-4 minutes. If you would be willing to do so, please contact Lisa Kiely <lkiely@umd.edu> as soon as possible.
