Women of Color Trauma & Healing Group

Have you experienced trauma related to sexual and/or relationship violence and feel isolated? Would you like to connect with and support other women of color who are experiencing similar challenges? Are you seeking a safe space to explore your feelings?

If you resonated with these questions than It Takes a Village may be the support you are seeking. It Takes a Village is a 6 session group for women of color that provides space for continued healing from sexual and relationship violence. This group is confidential, structured and closed in order to create a safe space for you to explore your vulnerabilities and support others. All group sessions are led by CARE to Stop Violence and are FREE!

Because this is a closed group, we request prospective clients meet with Christina Jay, LCPC (CARE Clinical Lead) to engage in a brief screening (30-45mins) to ensure the group is appropriate for your needs. To request a screening, or if you have questions, please contact Christina at: cjay1@umd.edu. (Screenings will begin Feb 3 and conclude Feb 24).

Group will begin Monday, March 2 at 3:00pm*
