AMWA will be meeting this Wednesday (2/26) at 7pm in JMZ 0122. We will be prepping for our upcoming donation drive for female hygiene products and used bras!
The donation drive will take place until spring break, and there will be boxes for donation drop offs in SORC (inside Stamp) and right inside the main doors of McKeldin library.
The menstrual products will go to #HappyPeriod, an organization that promotes menstrual hygiene for people that have low incomes, are homeless, or live in poverty. The bras will be sent to Free the Girls, an organization that supports women rescued from sex trafficking in becoming local entrepreneurs by providing them with stock to begin a business selling bras in their local community.
Our donations can make a huge difference for these individual, so we hope to see you on Wednesday!
