Free opioid overdose response/naloxone training
According to the CDC, more than 130 people die from opioid overdoses each day in the United States. Research has suggested that effective distribution and training on the use of naloxone, a medication that can temporarily reverse the symptoms of an opioid overdose, is an effective way to combat this statistic. Come to this free opioid overdose response training, hosted by the UMD Health Center, to learn how to recognize an overdose and take appropriate action. Please RSVP at https://go.umd.edu/naloxone
