We have scheduled a poster session for
HONR269L "Cracking the Secrets of the Universe Using Computers: Re-discovering the Higgs & Searching for Invisible Matter" on May 10th, 11:00am - 12:30pm, in the PSC lobby. Students
will be presenting the research work they have done during this
semester. Students interested in HONR 268N "Solve Mysteries of the Universe Using Fundamental Physics
and Computationally-intensive Analysis Tools" could attend this
poster session to learn the details about the course.
Here is the list of projects that students will be presenting during
the poster session:
New particle search in Higgs boson decays.
Searching for Dark Matter.
Study simulation of fusion and astrophysical plasmas.
Top Quark properties at the Large Hadron Collider.
Study of data from IceCube Neutrino Observatory at the South Pole.
Learn how to manage Tier3 of the Worldwide LHC Computing Grid.
Design a payload to detect atmospheric dust in the stratosphere.
