Dear UMD undergraduates,
Have you had a favorite teacher at Maryland, one whose course
made a significant and positive impact on your life or future career?
Would you like to recognize that teacher with an award of $1000?
Here is your chance to nominate that teacher!
The Office of Undergraduate Studies is seeking nominations
of UMD faculty members for two teaching awards. One prize will be awarded to a full-time teacher in any Undergraduate Studies Program, and another will be awarded to an outstanding General Education course teacher who is a full-time faculty member.
Using your nominations, the Office of Undergraduate Studies will
identify one winning faculty members for each of these awards:
1. Undergraduate Studies Programs Teaching Award: which includes Honors, Scholars, ROTC, Asian American Studies, and Beyond the Classroom.
2. Undergraduate Studies General Education Teaching Award, for outstanding teaching in any of your General Education courses.
The winners will receive $1,000 cash awards in a ceremony held
on May 13, 2015.
