Able is a new student publication
that shares the views and
creative works of people with disabilities, chronic illness, and impairments
at the University of Maryland, along with some works from their allies. We
hope to feature work from faculty, staff, undergraduate and graduate students.
We aim to explore the intersection of ability with other issues such as race
and ethnicity, gender, and sexuality as appreciate our varied bodies and
abilities in community. We strive to bring together diverse voices of
disability at UMD to educate and to show
solidarity!
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Short Stories, personal
essays, opinion pieces, poetry,
art such as comics, drawings,
paintings, photography, sculpture etc.
1. Submissions selected for publication in our pilot issue will be notified a week before printing or web publishing.
2.

submissions, meaning: we will keep submissions on file for future issues or
the Able Zine Tumblr.
3. If you want
