Honors Summer Course: The Frankenstein Mythos in Film

Looking for a great Honors seminar for this summer (summer 2014)?

Consider registering for:

HONR 239T: The Frankenstein Mythos in Film
Summer 2014, 1st Term (June 2-July 11)
MTWR  1:00-3:15pm
Prof. Andrew Scahill, University Honors Lecturer

In 1816, at the age of 18—younger, indeed, than most students at UMD—Mary Shelley wrote what would become one of the most canonical works of Western literature. The focus of this course will be cinema, and we will address films that respond to Shelley’s novel directly (adaptation) and indirectly (themes, motifs, genre).

Questions? Check out the flyer for more information or contact University Honors at 301-405-6711.
