American Promise Screening

On Tuesday April 22 at 6:00pm the Black Honors Caucus and the W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society will be screening the critically-acclaimed documentary American Promise which chronicles the challenges young black boys face in K-12 education.

After we screen the film, all in attendance will be welcomed to participate in a collective discussion on topics discussed in the film. Some of the topics include, but are not limited to, black masculinity, black education, independent schools, parenting of black children and more.We will be inviting professors from across the academic spectrum to join our conversation at the conclusion of the film. This is a documentary you don't want to miss out on!
