On Tuesday April 22 at 6:00pm the Black Honors Caucus and the W.E.B. Du Bois Honor Society will be screening the critically-acclaimed documentary American Promise which chronicles the challenges young black boys face in K-12 education.
After
we screen the film, all in attendance will be welcomed to participate
in a collective discussion on topics discussed in the film. Some of the
topics include, but are not limited to, black masculinity, black
education, independent schools, parenting of black children and more.We
will be inviting professors from across the academic spectrum to join
our conversation at the conclusion of the film. This is a documentary
you don't want to miss out on!
