Sunday May 4th, 2014 in Hoff Theater at 5 PM
Come out and learn about a truly amazing foundation that changes the lives of young Iranian women!
The
Glass House is a documentary that follows the lives of four young women
in Tehran, who attended the Omid-e-Mehr center. This center provides
care and support to disadvantaged young women in Iran, who have been put
through
traumatic experiences ranging from domestic violence to drug abuse. We
at Iranian Students’ Foundation have named Omid Foundations USA, a
sister chapter of Omid-e-Mehr, as our official philanthropy. They
provide a three-year program for these young women. Through classes,
therapy, and a supportive environment of professionals, Omid-e-Mehr
creates a home where these girls can grow into their true potentials.
This is a 501(c)(3) organization that holds an OFAC license. All the
donations that will be collected will go directly to Omid Foundations.
We will be screening this documentary at the Hoff Theater in the
Stamp Student Union at 5 PM. We are pleased to be joined by Dr. Gohar
Farahani and Farzaneh Javid, board directors of the Omid Foundation USA.
A question & answer session will follow afterwards.
