This lecture is a brief history of Dr. Robert Biggar which delves into the experiences of research abroad and in the field. After years in Africa studying viruses, Dr. Biggar returned to the United States to the emerging AIDS research field. The lecture discusses the atmosphere of contemporary AIDS research and the ins and outs of international cooperative research.
The lecture will take around 45 minutes and be followed by a 15-minute Q&A session. There will be a brief reception afterwards.
