Honors College Overnight Stay Hosts Needed

Hi Honors Students!

The Honors College Overnight Stay Program (OSP) is actively looking for hosts for potential Honors freshmen visiting campus in early April. Unlike university overnight programs, including HighRisers and EDGE, Honors OSP is only for admitted Honors students. Please note that you must live in traditional housing to serve as a host.

Hosts would need to commit to the evening of Thursday, April 7th, starting at 6:00 p.m., leading into the morning of Friday, April 8th, at 8:00 a.m. The night of the April 7th will be filled with welcome activities, games and food. Around 11:00 p.m., hosts and students will go back to spend the night in the host’s residence hall room. The hosts will be responsible for taking their students to the luggage room in Stamp on the morning of April 8th, and then dropping off their student at the Admitted Student Open House check-in.

If you live in traditional housing and have space to host a prospective student, please complete this survey by Friday, February 5th if interested. We are especially seeking male students who could host, but encourage everyone to register. Please join us for a fun evening getting students excited about Maryland! Your time and energy could make the difference in college selection for these students! If you have questions, please email haovernightstay@gmail.com.

Thank you!
Honors College Overnight Stay Team
