ATTN Pre-Health Students: Developing your critical reading and thinking skills: A "Growth Mindset" approach for success on the MCAT Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) section 2/25

February 25, 7-8 PM
Charles Carroll Room

Do you believe that your critical reading and thinking abilities are already determined, set in stone, unchangeable? How often do you say, or think, "I'm just not a good test taker"? Are you worried that the MCAT will reveal you to be not good/smart/talented enough for medical school?

Join Jeff Koetje, M.D., for a conversation about your journey into medicine and the caring professions. Dr. Koetje will discuss the importance of having a "growth mindset" approach to preparing for each challenge - including the MCAT and especially the CARS section - that you'll encounter on your way.

Dr. Jeff Koetje, a graduate of Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, currently serves as Director of Institutional Partnerships and Program Development at Kaplan Test Prep. He recently served for 4 years as the Director of Student experiences for the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). He has worked to support the personal and professional development of premedical and medical students for over 15 years.
