Within OMB, the Health
Division is responsible for Medicare, Medicaid, private health market
reforms, Marketplace insurance coverage under the Affordable Care Act,
and a variety of public health programs administered
primarily by the Department of Health and Human Services. The Division
oversees about $80 billion in discretionary resources and more than $1
trillion in mandatory outlays annually. The Division engages in
analysis, planning, and policy formulation to improve
programmatic quality, efficiency, and financial management. Please see

Experience:
Candidates must be strong multi-taskers, have excellent written and
oral communications skills, and be able to work quickly in a fast-paced
environment. The
Program Specialist will be responsible for a mix of professional,
analytic, administrative, and clerical work.
Responsibilities may include:

Assisting
in legislative, economic, management, financial management,
procurement, information, regulatory, and organizational analyses.
· Collecting and analyzing program and budget data and assisting in the review and analysis of agency budget submissions, legislation, studies, research materials, and other information related to assigned areas.
· Coordinating organization-wide and agency assignments on behalf of the Health Division to ensure accuracy and consistency with Administration policy.
· Managing data calls to agencies on various budget, policy, and management topics; reviewing responses for accuracy; and coordinating review across teams.
· Overseeing the management of all information in the office and supporting operations, including maintaining paper and electronic files, preparing correspondence and forms, covering phones, organizing meetings, and maintaining supplies and the office environment.
