Why: human trafficking is the second
largest crime in the world and the fastest growing. Maryland,
especially the D.C. area, has a huge sex-trafficking problem. Many
victims are treated as criminals and do not get the services and
support they need to get out, and remain out, of "the life". We believe
that no one should ever be enslaved and that the community has a huge
part to play in restoring survivors and preventing victimization. (more
