Entre Hermanos: A Critical Summit on the State of Latino Men in Education is
a summit that will convene and engage young Latino men who have the
leadership skills, passion, motivation, and drive to ensure that future
generations of Latinos are given the opportunity to receive an excellent
education. In addition to learning about some of the issues facing
young Latino men, the Summit will provide leadership development and the
opportunity to build lasting relationships and networks with other
rising leaders. Ultimately, this opportunity will equip participants
with the tools they need to make a positive impact in their communities
by taking action to create transformational change.
The Latino Male Summit will take place on Saturday, January 11th in Washington, D.C. Throughout
the day long program, attendees will be exposed to a series of
workshops and sessions that will build awareness on educational
attainment trends for Latino men. Summit participants will learn how
they can positively impact our Hispanic communities, as Latino males, by
taking action to create change. Participants will explore their
leadership as Latino men and the impact individuals can make on their
community. By attending the Summit, rising Latino leaders will not only
develop key leadership skills and new relationships with other leaders,
but also become more knowledgeable about the impact of educational
inequity within our community. This Summit will mark the beginning of a
long-term relationship with future Latino leaders who are interested in
and passionate about education as well as the advancement of the Latino
community.
