Student Leadership Opportunities with TerpService

The TerpService Program in the LCSL office at STAMP currently has student coordinator positions available for the 2017-2018 school year! The application will close Friday, March 24th at 11:59pm. Please find information below, which can be easily shared with your students. This is the perfect opportunity for students looking to serve in a leadership role.

TerpService Coordinators
Students have the opportunity to combine service with leadership development by committing to be a TerpService Coordinator. After training, they lead our volunteers through education, service, and reflection! TerpService has multiple roles open in our three programs: Terps for Change, Services 24/7, and TerpService Days. To apply, students should log into OrgSync first and then follow this link: http://go.umd.edu/T4C and select the form labeled "TerpService Coordinator Application: 2017-2018" to review the positions and fill out the application.

Other Opportunties for Service from the LCSL:

TerpService Days
Individuals or groups of students are encouraged to register for our TerpService Day program. TerpService Days are single Saturdays of service in the local community. The day includes issue education, direct service with local partners, and reflection. Breakfast, lunch, and any supplies for volunteers are included! We have limited capacity at each site, so it pays to register early! To register, students should log into OrgSync and then follow this link: go.umd.edu/tsd to select a site and fill out a form.

Services 24/7
Services 24/7 is an online directory for residents of Prince George's County looking for organizations that provide human services from after-school programs, to housing and foreclosure assistance, to veteran services. We serve two purposes: 1) connecting the citizens of Prince George's County with the resources they need to enhance their quality of life and 2) connecting the vast human resource of volunteers in our county to nonprofits in order to increase their capacity to serve. For information about organizations or to connect to volunteers please visit: http://services247.umd.edu/

Good Neighbor Day:
Good Neighbor Day is an initiative from the Office of Community Engagement that will connect students from the University of Maryland with community members from the City of College Park for a day of service. The event will take place on April 1st and you can sign up here: go.umd.edu/GNDProjects2017

Information about programs and sites can be found on our website: go.umd.edu/terpservice

Please remember: **You must be logged into Orgsync to view the applications**
