Mastering Five Skills For Disruptive Innovation

BMGT 289B, “How do Innovators Think,” is for students who want to perform better in their career, to innovate in their field, and to improve their career prospects. In today’s highly competitive world, success depends on the ability to innovate.  A study by the Association of American Colleges and Universities, found that 95 percent of employers surveyed say they give hiring preference to graduates with skills that will enable them to contribute to innovation in the workplace.

The focus of the course is on helping students learn to achieve breakthrough insights through self-assessments, catalytic questioning, deep observation, networking, and rapid experimentation. 
The course will help you 1) Gain deeper insight into your unique innovation skill strengths; 2) Build questioning, observing, networking, and experimenting capabilities to generate new ideas; 3) Practice questioning skills intensively through individual and group exercises; 4) Apply skills to a real individual challenge

BMGT 289B is an i-series and scholarship in practice class.

Class times: Weekly Monday 10am-11:50AM & four Monday evening during the semester from 6;30-9:15  Monday for assessments and guest speaker presentations
