Food Recovery Network is seeking student photographers to capture the inaugural National Food Recovery Dialogue at
the University of Maryland, College Park from April 2-4. This is a
great opportunity for photographers looking to build their resume and
portfolio.
Photographers
are expected to take pictures of conference attendees and activities,
and they must provide their own equipment. FRN will provide
photographers with $100 compensation per day. Other benefits include
free admission to all conference events, an opportunity to learn about
environmental and social justice, photo credits and resume-building
experience.
The time commitment is outlined below:
- Friday, April 1 from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at the School of Public Policy
- Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3 (all day) at the BioPsych, Plant Sciences and Bio Science Research Buildings
- Monday, April 4 on Capitol Hill

About the National Food Recovery Dialogue: The
Dialogue will convene more than 300 student leaders on the home campus
of FRN’s first chapter, as well as movers and shakers from across the
food recovery, food justice, policy and environmental spaces.
About Food Recovery Network: FRN
was founded at UMD in 2011, and has since grown to 174 chapters across
the country. FRN empowers students to fight food waste and hunger on
their college campuses by recovering the surplus food from dining halls
and businesses and donating it to those in need.
