Join America Reads*America Counts!

Do you enjoy working with children? America Reads*America Counts, which is part of the Adele H. Stamp Student Union, is a mentoring program where nearly 300 UMD students work weekly to improve the literacy and math skills of Prince George’s County elementary school students.

We are currently seeking dedicated and enthusiastic college students who love working with kids and want to give back to their community. America Reads*America Counts is a great way to meet new friends on campus, develop essential leadership skills, and gain valuable resume-building experience!

We are currently recruiting for each of our programs. Students can volunteer, receive academic or internship credit, or, if eligible for Federal Work Study, can be paid to work with our program! Don’t know if you have Federal Work Study? Check your Financial Aid package at www.testudo.umd.edu.

Visit http://www.arac.umd.edu to learn more and to apply. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until January 28 at 5pm.
