Kelly represents district 16 of Montgomery County, which includes Chevy Chase,
Bethesda, Glen Echo, Somerset and parts of Rockville and Potomac. She sits on
the Health and Government Operations Committee. For more information on

Interns must be
available for the legislative session from January through April and will have
the option of continuing through the spring. Interns must be able to work in
the Maryland General Assembly in Annapolis at least twice a week, three days is
ideal. Interns from the Maryland or Washington D.C. area are preferred.
Responsibilities include:

Attending
committee hearings
·
Conducting
research
·
Drafting
correspondence
·
Preparing,
recording, and reporting testimony
·
Contacting
witnesses
·
Tracking
bills
·
Working
on mailings
·
Responding
to constituent’s inquiries
·
Writing
newsletters
·
Providing
support to Delegate Kelly and her staff.
Qualifications
include excellent research, writing, communication and interpersonal skills,
the ability to manage multiple tasks, take initiative, and the ability to work
independently. Political science, public policy, women's studies, law, or
similar majors are highly encouraged to apply.
