Volunteer with SEAS to teach science to kids afterschool! Meeting 2/8

Love teaching, working with kids, or exploring the sciences? Then SEAS - Science Enrichment After School - is the group for you! We are a student-led organization at UMD dedicated to spreading enthusiasm and a love for the sciences to local elementary school kids in PG County. We are currently looking for more UMD students to teach this semester!

Our group visits Adelphi Elementary School's aftercare program every Tuesday and Thursday from 2:30PM - 4:00PM to teach fun, interactive, and creative
lesson plans designed to inspire young students in the sciences. Adelphi ES is only 10 minutes from campus and accessible by the 108 UM shuttle. If you have class during the times we visit Adelphi ES, you can still contribute by designing fun science lesson plans for the kids! Additionally, you do not have to volunteer on both Tuesdays and Thursdays.

E-mail us at seas.umd@gmail.com if you're interested in joining. You can find more information on our website: http://umdseas.wixsite.com/seas and at our first GBM

CORRECTION FROM PREVIOUS ANNOUNCEMENT:
Previously, it was announced that the SEAS GBM #1 would be in Jimenez 2123. The NEW meeting location is still in Jimenez, but now in room 3122. We hope to see you there on Wednesday, February 8 at 6:30pm!
