The Diamondback, the university’s independent student newspaper, is hiring assistant engagement editors! This position is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a (virtual) newsroom and to get involved at The Diamondback.
Our engagement team creates and schedules content on every DBK social media platform (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and Reddit) as well as produces a daily morning newsletter.
Assistant engagement editors are responsible for working a weekly shift, attending the weekly 5 p.m. Wednesday staff meeting, and submitting content for our weekly Snapchat Discover Story on Thursday. Experience with some sort of Adobe Cloud program is required. DO NOT APPLY if you cannot make this meeting. You will need a resume, a short cover letter detailing your experience with Adobe Cloud programs and 2-5 design or multimedia samples.
