Are you a woman in STEM? Do you support women being in STEM? Did you love the movie Hidden Figures?
Engineering Playdate is a new club that gives UMD students the opportunity to inspire the next generation of STEM women. The organization plans and executes a mini ‘hardware-hackathon’ for girls aged 8-12, giving them a chance to explore, learn, and create with engineering based toys. This event is meant to empower young girls to be who they are, while still exploring the STEM space.
Come have some hot chocolate and learn more about us, and how you can get involved!
