The American Medical Women's Association (AMWA) will be having its 3rd GBM in Jimenez Hall room 0125 (JMZ0125) on Monday, October 23rd, 2017, at 7 PM.
We will be having two wonderful guest speakers joining us - Theodora Scarato and Daniela Lin. Theodora Scarato is a researcher who will be giving a presentation about women's environmental health and risks. Daniela is an alumna of University of Maryland, and a previous member of our own organization's executive board! We welcome both with open arms, and look forward to seeing all of our members in attendance. As usual, attendance will be taken at the beginning of the meeting, and your attendance will count towards the 3 GBM points you must have per semester in order to be considered an active member. We hope you can make it!
As a reminder, we are an organization that promotes community among women with a pre-health focus. We have several events centered on community service, our wonderful guest speakers, and peer advisory boards that promote discussion and interest in the several factors that go into pre-health studies.
